U6s, U7s, U8s, U9s - arrive approx 1 pm to finish approx 4:30
U10s, U11, U12s - arrive approx 1:30 to finish approx 4:45.
Bring something to sit on, sit back and relax in the sun - as is standard Rovers policy all children are required to have an adult responsible for them there at all times.
Activities/Structure - All year groups will have allocated slots on the bouncy castles, allocated slots for football on the astro, an allocated slot for end of season awards / presentations (your year leads will be in touch to vote for a "Players' Player" per team), and a couple of 15-20 minute breaks to catch breath along the way. We will also have a point in the middle where we get a couple of whole club photos for our club sponsors. Broadly speaking, U6-U9 are football until the photo at 3pm then bouncing after that, U10s-U12s are the reverse.
Kit required? - Yes, all players in full gold / white / black Rovers kit on the day. Please also see attached for a reminder of what footwear is allowed to be used on the astro.
Bar - KWAF (the KWS equivalent of a PTA) have been asked to run a bar to fundraise for the school. Please note we have no input etc to the bar prices or what they stock, but we are pleased to support the school in its fundraising efforts. We also expect to have a coffee van there. We do not (currently) expect to have any 'proper' food on offer as the event is after lunch-time but before tea-time!
Siblings - yes, of course, siblings are welcome. The timeslots on the bouncy castles for the U6s will be "U6s and below", and if there are siblings that are older they can bounce with the same age group as they would be in (or one year either side). Siblings won't be able to take part in the football on the astro.
Parking - i am sure you have all experienced the joy of parking at KWS.... please, please try to walk / scoot / cycle / lift-share etc etc as quite simply there isn't enough parking.
Signing in - each player will need to sign in on arrival at the gazebo so we know they're there, and to collect a wristband. The wristband will be used to manage ages on the bouncy castles (and can be kept afterwards)
Boot sale - We'll have a 'bring and buy' on football boots ready for next season. Bring along football boots which have been grown out of, and look for a next size up. Replacement boots will typically be £5-10 a pair, depending on condition and quality with funds going to the club.
Cost - There is no charge for this event, which will be funded through some generous sponsorship and through club funds. If anyone wants to donate towards our "Defib on the top field" fund we will be making this possible on the day.
Wet weather plan - it goes ahead. We have the sports hall booked so football will be outside, bouncing etc inside.
How to confirm attendance - You will be invited to the event via Pitchero. Please show availability (or not) so we can adjust plans if necessary. If you don't currently have the Pitchero app please download and login using the credentials you used on the website to register for membership.
Your year leads have more information, so please reach out to them in the first instance if you have any questions. However, if there's anything they're not able to answer please just drop me a note to chair@harpendenrovers.co.uk
